Stijn Demeulenaere

Stijn Demeulenaere (Izegem, BE, 03/03/78) is a sound-artist, a radio maker and searching musician. He holds degrees in sociology, cultural studies and studied at the Rits school for audiovisual arts,  radio department. There he graduated with the audio-installation SmallTalk which was later shown at the Kaaitheater (Brussels, Be). Stijn was the curator and producer of the free form radio  show ‘Radio Eliot’ on Radio Scorpio. He was a member of the improvisation collective Karen Eliot. Daytime jobs have included: editor for Jan Fabre and journalist for Radio 1 and Klara, Belgian national radio and Radio K Centrale, an independent radio station in Bollona, Italy. He is currently working around the themes of the ruin of listening and the memory of sound / auditive memories.  In 2014 Sijn is artist in residence at Overtoon. He lives and works in Brussels (BE).
